Captain Gary

Hello I am Captain Gary Katta. I am a United States Coast Guard licensed Master Captain (over 25 tons) with over 25 years of fishing experience on Lake Erie. I grew up on the shores of Lake Erie. I was lucky to have a family that also loved to fish. I fished with my father as often as possible when I was growing up. Thanks Dad! When I was fifteen I purchased my own boat and fished as much as possible. Over the years, I have fished many fishing tournaments with my long time fishing partners. Being a Charter Captain has allowed me to spend more time on the water and share Lake Erie with others.
When I am not fishing I am working my full time job as a Lieutenant/Firefighter-EMT for the City of Dunkirk Fire Department. A job which I love as much as fishing. As one of my duties with the fire department, I have the pleasure of Captaining our 21' Zodiac rescue boat.
I have a flexible schedule and am willing to work with you to find a date and time that accomodates you and your schedule. I encourage clients to bring children along, and to share the great sport of fishing. Fishing is a great family sport and children are the future of our sport. Afterall, if my father didn't take me fishing when I was young you probably wouldn't be reading my webite!
